If you are someone who feels like your mornings get off to kind of a rough start and you would like a smoother, more productive start to your day, I have a quick tip for you today.
At the end of the workday or the evening before you go to bed, I want you to think about what can my end of day self do to better help and serve my morning self?
So for me, it's a couple of things. At the end of my workday, I look at my schedule for the next day, so I'm aware of what's coming. I'm not shocked by it in the morning. I write down the top three priorities that I want to accomplish the next day. And then on a personal level, I recently started making my girls' lunches at night before I go to bed because in the morning I like to go to the gym, then get ready and get going and making lunches in the morning just felt like a scramble.
So now when I make them the night before, I don't have to do that in the morning, and I go into the day ready for what's to come. I know what's coming on my calendar. I know what my top priorities are to accomplish that day, and it just starts the morning so much better.
