If you've ever wondered how to quickly build trust with others—whether you're new to a management role, closing a sale, or navigating a networking event—this video is for you. In it, you'll learn a simple yet powerful trick that takes the pressure off and helps you create connections fast.

Like it or not, we all are put in situations where we need to be able to build trust and rapport quickly. Situations where we are concerned about getting people around us to like us and feel connected to us in a relatively fast manner.
Whether you are a new manager to a role and you want to build that connection with your team quickly, or you are a sales professional and you're on a call with a new prospective client who you want to connect with quickly, or maybe you're attending one of those networking events and you've gotta go work the room and chat with people.
And in our minds we're thinking, ah, what interesting things can I talk about? What stories can I tell? How can I help people feel drawn to me and connected to me quickly?
Well, here's the trick I want you to keep in mind. It's a lot less about you and a lot more about them. Instead of trying to think of and share information about yourself that makes you sound fascinating and that draws people to you... Instead, I want you to think about what can I learn about other people and how can I then connect with that? Be more concerned with asking questions to get to know about them, and then finding ways to, yes, connect with that.
But doing this—focusing on them first— will actually make them feel more drawn to you in the end. So again, instead of focusing on sharing information about yourself to draw them to you, focus on learning information about them and then connecting with that.
