1 Question That's Shaping My Entire Year

How do you prioritize the things that are most important to you? It’s easy to say that something is a priority, but not make adjustments in our lives to reflect that. It can leave us feeling disappointed, unfulfilled, or lonely. How can we shift this dangerous practice to something more positive?

One way I'm staying focused on my goals and priorities this year is to focus on one key question: "How do I want to feel this year?" I came up with one word in response to this question, and that one word is directing my decision-making on business and personal matters. Watch the video to hear what it is and how I'm putting it into action.

Since we're one quarter into the year, I encourage you to give it a try. First, identify how you’ve felt in the first quarter of 2022. Then, ask yourself how you want to feel during the rest of this year. Finally, think of ways that you can pursue that feeling. Maybe it’s saying “no” to some things that you would normally say “yes” to. Maybe it’s changing your morning routine to make time for that important thing. Maybe it’s taking a risk and facing your fears in a certain area, or stepping into something new.

Whatever your priorities are, this simple question can help drive you toward them. It’s never too late to get realigned with ourselves and what’s most important to us.
