Behind closed doors

It's not the first time we've covered this topic in a Two-Minute Tip, but it's one of the most common issues I encounter in my work, so it deserves plenty of air time.

Why can we not resist venting about a teammate behind closed doors? We try to label it as “getting advice” or “processing the situation.” If you need advice or to process the situation, then discuss with someone outside the team.

May we have enough courage and integrity to engage in honest, face-to-face conversations; or enough grace to let things go.

No more gray area on this—we need to treat it black and white if we want to see progress.
